Bath-Kaposvár Twinning Association
...devoted to contributing an exciting and positive image of Hungary and twinning...

The Association came about as a result of a review by the then City of Bath District Council to establish a fourth City-to-City link with a partner of a similar size and characteristics to Bath drawn from either Central or Eastern Europe. On the 18th April 1989 the City of Bath became officially twinned with the Spa City of Kaposvár in Hungary. The Mayor of Bath is the President of the Bath-Kaposvár Twinning Association.

The Bath-Kaposvar Twinning Association is a voluntary organisation, run by volunteers drawn from all parts of society with the aim of fostering mutual understanding and respect between the people of Bath and Kaposvár and to encourage schools, youth and sports clubs, artistic bodies and individuals to exchange ideas, undertake visits and develop friendships. The Kaposvár International Twinning Office helps us to create those essential links that enable twinning to become a reality and fun.

The strength of the Association is of course the membership and those areas of interest held by members where they feel able to make it happen. Whether you are planning a visit to Budapest, “Paris of the East”,  developing an interest in the impossibly difficult Hungarian language or would like to become an expert on the world famous Hungarian wines, or just want to know more about the twinning association, its work and future programmes, please contact the secretary Zsuzsanna Jenkins on 01225 830 767 or secretary@bath-kaposvar.orgThis e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it.
