"Hungarian Puzzles and other International Approaches to Mathematics", the title of talk to be given by Geoff Smith form the Department of Mathematics at the University of Bath at the Bath Royal Literary & Scientific Institution, Queens Square, Bath on Thursday 9th October at 07.30 pm. (Please click HERE to download a pdf leaflet) Since 2002 Geoff has led the UK International Mathematical Olympiad team. He played a major role in the excellent BBC documentary 'Beautiful Young Minds' that was screened during the 2007 Bath Film Festival. The documentary traces the preparation challenges faced by the many young aspiring applicants to finally become one of the six selected finalists to represent Britain at the International Olympiad.
