Raising funds for KaposArt hospitality

Members and friends of the BKTA got together on two occasions in 2011 to rattle the collection bucket to help give the KaposArt visitors a good time while they were with us in Bath.

Both fund raising events went very well. It gave everyone taking part a chance to expand their selling skills; persuading some of those thinking reluctantly of spending hard earned cash to go for it and then realising they had made an excellent value purchase; while nobly helping KaposArt artists to have a great September time in our glorious city.

The July Car Boot Sale at Lansdown Racecourse saw a beautiful morning rising sun at 06.30; Zsuzsa and Phil driving a loaded estate and together with Rob already on site we secured the selling pitch with folding tables, all laden with superb wares collected from so may generous sources to bask under pure blue skies. It could not have been more perfect and fun to close each sale with so many relaxed punters.

The Bath Annual Charity Fair in November was led with style by Cyd who persuaded members and friends to donate their valuables, got all the goodies packed for transit to Bath’s Guildhall by 08.00am and with the help of Zsolt managed to raise another princely sum for our people to people driven twinning activities.
